LEED Certification

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ is a third-party certification program and nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED provides building owners and operators with the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings' performance.

LEED certification provides independent verification that a building project is environmentally responsible and a healthy place to live and work. We are proud to be the recipients of this important certification. Healthy Future Pediatrics is the first "green" medical building in Washington State.

In addition to a beautiful, spacious lobby and comfortable pediatric exam rooms, the building features:

• a super efficient heating/cooling system with a built-in air purification system.

• the use of recyclable materials, like our marmoleum flooring.

• the use of low VOC (volatile organic compounds) cabinets, paints and glues.

• water conservation efforts including low-flow toilets and a drip irrigation system.
