Maggi Hume, MSN, CPNP, ARNP

Maggi was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. While attending college at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN, Maggi volunteered frequently with medical organizations such as Remote Area Medical, participated in bioethics research, and worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Working with children proved to be very fulfilling, so she sought a career in which she could make a difference in the lives of children daily.

After graduation from college, Maggi earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2015 with a focus on pediatric primary care. While completing clinical rotations in East Tennessee, she also worked as a nurse on a pulmonary unit at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She is a member of the Iota chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, as well as NAPNAP, the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Maggi is passionate about improving children’s health, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and running with her dog, spending time at the beach and in the mountains, reading, and knitting.
