Care for children can and should be better than what it is today.

We define the highest levels of quality health care.

Our efforts to define the highest levels of quality health care, service and innovation reflect our dedication to the well-being of children. We welcome the opportunity to work with you toward the goal of providing your child a healthy future.

Our Nurse Practitioners

Healthy Future Pediatrics is proud to offer the specialized expertise of our Nurse Practitioners (NP). Our NPs are board certified and work closely with Dr. Lindgren to provide high-quality pediatric health care with an emphasis on health promotion and education.

A nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse (RN) who has completed advanced education (a minimum of a master’s degree) and training in the diagnosis and management of common medical conditions, including chronic illnesses. Nurse practitioners are much different than clinic nurses, in that NPs can independently treat and manage their own patient loads (similar to physicians). Historically, NPs have been providing comprehensive health care since 1965, with a focus on health maintenance, education, illness prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.

Dr. Carl Lindgren

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dr. Carl Lindgren attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison receiving his Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in 1982 and his Medical Degree in 1986 with the distinction of being elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After completing his pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 1990, Dr. Lindgren began his pediatric practice in Olympia with the Memorial Clinic. Board certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1991 and recertified in 1998 and 2004, Dr. Lindgren enjoys keeping abreast of recent medical advances through continuing medical education and attending nationally recognized conferences on a regular basis.

Proud supporters of Olympia public schools, Dr. Lindgren and his wife, Tory, have three children, Ian, Peter and Mary. When not working to improve the health services of his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, backpacking, fly-fishing and photography.

Our Medical Assistants

Coming to the office is often an adventure for many small children. Our clinical staff works hard to welcome the child and reduce the fears of the unknown. Every visit is an opportunity to let them know we care.

Why We’re Different

A few words come to mind: warm, friendly, compassionate, familiar, innovative, and convenient. Healthy Future Pediatrics is all about creating effective doctor-patient communication to establish deep, meaningful relationships. We strive to continuously improve our practice by working with parents cooperatively to help their children thrive. Healthcare today has become inefficient and impersonal, frustrating patients and families at a time when they need comfort and care. It’s time to return healthcare to what parents and children want it to be.
“Carl Lindgren is one of the most progressive and responsive physicians I have had the pleasure to work with. Our Olympia community is lucky to have him!”
